2. Social Media Strategy and Content Creation

This module moves from brand foundations into active content strategy. The D3.1 needs assessment found that social media was the most widely used professional tool across all six partner countries — but most young creatives used it intuitively rather than strategically. They posted when inspired, not from a plan, and rarely reviewed what worked.

This module teaches young creatives how to plan content, write captions that engage, use hashtags effectively, repurpose content across platforms, collaborate strategically, and read basic analytics — turning social media from a habit into a tool for professional growth.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • Explain the difference between reactive posting and strategic content creation.

  • Build a simple 1-week content calendar using a provided template.
  • Write captions that communicate value and invite engagement.
  • Apply an effective hashtag and tagging strategy to increase discoverability.
  • Repurpose one piece of content for use across at least two different platforms.
  • Identify 3–5 key metrics worth tracking for a creative professional’s social media presence.
