4. AI Tools for Creative Professionals

AI tools are reshaping what is possible in creative work — and they are doing so fast. But widespread enthusiasm has outpaced widespread understanding. Most young creatives have heard of ChatGPT or Midjourney, and many have experimented briefly. Far fewer have developed a systematic approach to integrating AI into their creative workflow in ways that enhance their practice without undermining their creative identity, their ethical commitments, or their professional relationships.

This module provides exactly that: a structured, practical, and critically grounded introduction to the AI tools most relevant to creative professionals. It covers visual creation, writing and copywriting, video and audio production, and workflow automation — always with a clear view of the ethical questions each tool raises. The final two lessons are dedicated entirely to ethics, authorship, and responsible professional practice.

All tools featured have a free tier or free entry point. No paid subscriptions are required to complete this module.
